Brief History

Chepseon vocational Training Centre (CVTC) was established in 1981 to meet development challenges that organization and citizen face, both in private and public sectors. CVTC is located in Chepseon ward, Kipkelion East Sub County and 1Km from Chepseon market along Chepseon- Kipkelion road. CVTC enrollment has been increasing from 52 trainees in 1981 to 608 trainees in 2024. The courses offered at the Institution are examined by both KNEC and NITA. The Institution has a total of 22 staff members; 14 Instructors and 8 support staff. At our Institution, imparting soft skills to our trainees is the key and critical requirement. This will ensure they perform their duties to the utmost satisfaction to employers and those seeking their services. CVTC is one of the centres of excellence in civil engineering and tries to address skills embedded within the curriculum and continuous learning. The increasing number of trainees requires concerted effort by all stakeholders to come up with centre infrastructures and improvement to cope with the current shift and changes in vocational training policies of developing child friendly vocational training centre Skills development is one of the critical requirements for developing employability and enhancing productivity amongst our trainees at Chepseon VTC.
